Personal Bio
Hi, I'm Tom Laffin, and I'm running to represent Wallingford's 85th District.
Wallingford has been my home my entire life. I grew up here, raised my two children, Jack and Abby, here, and have dedicated myself to serving our community.
Over the years, I've served on the Board of Education, been active in the PTO, volunteered with the Boy Scouts, and proudly cheered from the sidelines as a devoted soccer dad.
My partner, Tracy, is also a lifelong Wallingford resident. Together, we've built a wonderful blended family that includes her daughters, Maddy and Kayti, Kayti's husband, Damian, and our grandchildren, McKenna and Sterling.
Wallingford isn't just where I live—it's the community I love, and it's the community I'm committed to serving.
With 15 years on the Town Council, including a decade as Vice Chairman, my record is one of results. I am currently guiding our town’s future through the Plan of Conservation and Development committee. Beyond the council, my dedication continues through local groups like the Rotary, Elks, and Polish National Alliance. I remain a proud advocate for the CT STEM Academy and local Parks & Rec programs.
Quite simply, I am 100% devoted to Wallingford.
