Focus on economic issues
The cost of living in the state of Connecticut is high, and family budgets are tight. I will fight every day for the economic needs of the 85th district, and when there is a conflict over what is best for Wallingford vs the other areas of our state, my vote will always put Wallingford first.
Focus on doing the hard work
The 85th district deserves a representative with a history of doing the hard work of governing, and with a history of service to the community. I have served Wallingford in many capacities over the last two decades, and I know what it takes to fight for my community. No one will work harder than me.
Lifelong commitment
I have lived all of my 46 years in Wallingford, as a full-time, tax-paying member of our community. I have always had both feet firmly planted in our town. My commitment to our town and to the 85th district is clear - no matter what happens in this election, Wallingford will continue to be the center of my life.
Party over politics
The political climate in our country is challenging, to say the least. I won't be distracted by issues that might be important nationally, but are less relevant on the local level. I will always keep my focus on the local issues that have the greatest impact on day-to-day life for the 85th district.
What I believe in
Community & Education
I will advocate to empower the local Board of Education over state mandates to allow our schools to focus on learning, safety, and accountability. I will promote volunteerism and civic pride in our schools - they are the next generation of Wallingford business.
Public Safety
Having a partner in public safety and an uncle killed in the line of duty, I stand with law enforcement and first responders. I am committed to keeping Wallingford one of Connecticut's safest communities. I will prioritize safe streets by creating engaged and supported communities. I will also invest in proactive mental health services and prevention.
Family Rights & Values
I will protect parents' rights to direct their children's education and oppose the one-size-fits-all mandates from Hartford. I will fight to keep local decision-making against overreach from Hartford. I will continue to defend family values and honor community character.
Affordability
It's not a secret that the cost of living in Connecticut has been increasingly difficult. I commit to protect Wallingford's quality of life and lower cost of living. I will fight Hartford policies that raise costs for our families and stop unfair state redistribution that punishes local taxpayers. Lastly, I'll keep Connecticut competitive so families and retirees can afford to stay in the state.
